Bottesford NHW Alert: Recent Thefts in Bottesford/Suspicious Trader

Recent Thefts in Bottesford:

There have been several incidents in the village over recent days: the theft of a charity box and items being taken off two vehicles parked in the Grantham Road area including a set of ladders. Police are aware.

In the former a charity box collecting for Grantham ROCK (Rescue of Cats and Kittens) was stolen from outside a property in the Bowbridge area of the village last night.

If anyone has noticed suspicious activity in these areas or knows anything about the thefts please contact the police on the non-emergency 101 number.

Suspicious Trader:

We have recently received a report of someone providing a plumbing service in the area but possibly  using another bona fide traders contact details. Work is reported as being undertaken for cash with a receipt promised later which doesn’t materialise. The “trader” is described as a white male in his 50’s operating from a dark blue van with no signage. At the time of the reported incident he was wearing a bandage on one arm. If anyone knows who this “trader” is, or has had a similar experience, please contact NHW with details. In the meantime residents are advised to exercise caution in employing anyone fitting this description.
